I have owned an earlier model, an HP LASERJET PRO P1102, for about 8 years and found it to be an excellent and reliable printer so when I bought a new Windows 10 desktop computer I decided to again go with HP and I purchased a LaserJet Pro P1102 printer which looks identical to the HP LASERJET PRO P1102 and appears to work the same.
I had problems with the installation because the disc supplied by HP with the printer did not seem to work with Windows 10 and in the end I had to find a suitable driver direct from the HP website. This worked fine and I can thoroughly recommend the printer as inexpensive and reliable.

REMOTE FIRMWARE HP LASERJET PRO P1102 PRINTER UPDATE
The HP LaserJet Professional P1100/P1560/P1600 Series Printer products may require periodic updates to their firmware.
The process for updating firmware involves three steps:
- Determine the current level of firmware that is installed on the product.
- Obtain the firmware update utilty from the HP Web site.
- Run the firmware update utility to update the new firmware on the product.

- Click the Services tab, and then, in the Print Information Pages drop-down list, click the Config Page list item.
